MotoGP: Yamaha Reveal the Monster Energy M1

Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales revealed their new Monster Energy Yamaha in Jakarta this morning.

Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales have uncovered the highly anticipated Monster Energy Yamaha M1 in Jakarta this morning as their 2019 title attack has officially begun.

It was announced mid-season that Yamaha would lose Movistar as their title sponsor and with Tech 3 swapping Yamaha for KTM, Monster Energy stepped in at the new title sponsor for the Japanese manufacturer.

Yamaha hopes that this new M1 can get them out of a difficult patch that they have found themselves in recent seasons with just 5 wins in 37 races with the current lineup. Maverick Vinales was able to get Yamaha out of it’s longest winless streak of 25 races at the 2018 Australian Grand Prix winning in dominant style.

Valentino Rossi will be hoping that he can return to the top step after last standing on top at the Dutch round in 2017. ‘The Doctor’ will hope Yamaha have solved their rear grip issues and that both himself and Maverick can launch the attack on Honda and Ducati for the title in 2019.

The livery for the new M1 Yamaha is a mixture between the Black, Green and Yamaha Blue with many Monster Energy logo’s visible.
