After breaking his left scaphoid in a training accident, Jorge Lorenzo has been ruled out of the Sepang test in 15 days time.
Lorenzo was training in Italy when the Mallorcan crashed his dirt bike resulting in a left-hand fracture of the Scaphoid.
The 5-time champion underwent surgery today completed by Dr Mir in Barcelona but will miss the 3rd official Pre Season test at the Sepang International Circuit.
This means that Marc Marquez will be running as the sole Repsol Honda rider in Sepang and Stefan Bradl will have his work cut out as it’s still unsure whether Cal Crutchlow will be fit to ride the RC213V after his ankle fracture in Phillip Island.
HRC is next to reveal their 2019 bikes and it’s expected Lorenzo will still make it to unwrap the number 99 Honda.
