The first British Supersport signing of 2019 has been made as Gearlink announce Ross Twyman to partner Ben Wilson who’s been absent from the Dickies British Supersport class for a few years due to a serious leg injury.
With Fraser Rogers signed for the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike championship, Gearlink focused on their Supersport campaign, signing Ben Wilson who last rode for the team in 2014 when he competed in the Superbike class. But as we start 2019 Gearlink have announced Ross Twyman who will join Ben in the class.
Ross had a great start to 2018 on the EHA Supersport bike, sitting in 3rd overall before an injury ruled out the rider from Kent for the remainder of the season.
Speaking to British Superbikes, Twyman said: “I am excited to learn about the Gearlink Kawasaki but there is no doubt that the package is strong and with Gearlink they have given me the confidence already to improve in myself also. I would like to thank all my personal sponsors for their continued support and without them, this wouldn’t be possible.”
