Andy Irwin will join Honda Racing for 2019 as the team launch a brand new look for their 2019 title attack.
After having a tricky start to his World Supersport campaign earlier this year, Andy Irwin made the switch back to the British paddock as he joined the Paul Bird Motorsport team mid-way through 2018 replacing Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne who suffered serious injuries after a testing crash at Snetterton in May.
The Ulsterman impressed so much the Louth based team have signed him on for the 2019 season.
There is no announcement on who will be partnering Irwin, but rumours suggest it could be a World Superbike rider such as Loris Baz or Eugene Laverty.
As well as the announcement of Andy Irwin, Havier Beltran announced that Tom Neave, who replaced the injured Dan Linfoot at Thruxton and Cadwell Park, will join Honda in their return to the Superstock 1000cc Championship for 2019.
