Fabio Quartararo took his 2nd win of the season this morning, only to have it taken away from him due to the rear tyre pressure was found to be lower than the parameters advised by the Official Supplier.
After an excelent race holding off Moto2 championship leader, Fabio Quartararo has been disqualified from the 2018 Japanese Grand Prix meaning Francesco Bagnaia inherits the top spot.
This also means that Bagnaia’s championship rival Miguel Oliveira has been lifted to 3rd position with Baldassarri in 2nd.
It was found that the Speed UP was using lower tyre pressures in order to help the tyre stick to the tarmac, providing more grip. In order to keep riders safe, Dunlop put parameters in place for recommended tyre pressures.
This now means Bagnaia leads the title race by 37 points.
