A shock signing for Glenn Irwin sees the Irishman return to Kawasaki for 2019.
After signing for Paul Birds Ducati team earlier this year, the deal has fallen through and therefore Glenn will join the JG Speedfit Bournemouth Kawasaki for the 2019 season.
Glenn will replace Leon Haslam who is returning to the world stage for 2019.
The Kawasaki team will continue to get support from WorldSBK factory team as they prepare the all new ZX-10RR.
Irwin currently in the showdown, speaking to BSB said: “I can’t wait for my first ride of the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR. Also, I’m looking forward to learning from my new team given their experience and success over the past three seasons.“
Irwin last rode a Kawasaki when he rode the Gearlink Kawasaki in the 600cc class.
Irwin is focused on the last 2 rounds of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship before making his return to Kawasaki in November.
Irwin is the first announcement in what will be a big shake up expected for the 2019 grid.
