Sky VR46 has announced the much anticipated line up for their 2019 Moto3 and Moto2 seasons, each with 1 new face.
Sky CEV Moto3 rider Celestino Vietti Ramus will join 2017 CEV Champion Dennis Foggia in Valentino Rossi’s Moto3 outfit.
Foggia is coming to the end of his debut full season after appearing and impressing in a few wildcards in 2017. It has been a tough season for Sky with both Bulega and Foggia suffering and not being able to show their true potential with the pair down in 26th (Foggia) and 28th (Bulega) in the overall standings.
Vietti currently sits 10th in the standings with his best result coming in the 2nd race at Barcelona.
For 2019 Nicolo Bulega will step up to the intermediate class, as he is set to replace Bagnaia who will start his MotoGP career onboard the Pramac Ducati, joining current Sky Moto2 rider Luca Marini.
The move to Moto2 didn’t come as a shock for Bulega after the Italian has struggled in Moto3 due to his height.
Bulega has been busy getting to grips with his Moto2 machine after completing a training day with his fellow VR46 Academy riders at Misano after the race weekend.
Luca Marini is yet to score his debut win in Moto2 but has stood on the rostrum 3 times with the Sky team, Luca sits 11th in the standings as his fourth Moto2 season prepares to come to an end in November.
