Tom Neave will swap his recent Fireblade for a Suzuki at Silverstone as he is set to replace the injured Chrissy Rouse at Movuno.com Halsall Racing Suzuki.
We saw Neave in the Superbike class for the last two rounds as he replaced the injured Dan Linfoot for the Thruxton and Cadwell rounds of the season, but the Lincolnshire rider will jump onto a Suzuki at Silverstone, a bike he is familiar with from his Superstock duties.
Tom will replace the injured Chrissy Rouse who is still recovering from his nasty crash during the first race at Cadwell, leaving him with fractured left hand and right wrist.
Speaking to British Superbikes Neave said “I’m really looking forward to working with Colin and the team, and I can’t wait to get back out. Naturally, it’s going to be another big learning curve. I’ve had two rounds riding the Honda, and now I’ve got to start again with a different bike. My own machine is a Suzuki, so that could be a bit of an advantage”.
The Silverstone round will take place 7th-9th September around the National circuit after the weather caused havoc at this years British MotoGP round.
