WorldSSP: Hector Barbera Returns To Racing With Puccetti Kawasaki

Hector Barbera will return to racing in 2018 as he steps onboard a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R for the remaining 4 races of the Supersport championship.

Hector Barbera will join Hikari Okubo at Puccetti Kawasaki after the Spaniard was left looking for a ride after being sacked by the Sito Pons Moto2 team earlier this season.

Hector Barbera will replace Sheridan Morias who was drafted in by the Puccetti team to replace Kenan Sofuoglu who retired from racing at the Imola round of the championship.

Hector Barbera has had a long and impressive career on the world stage finishing 3rd in the 2004 125cc championship. In 2009 Hector was the runner-up in the 250cc championship, after competing in the class for 5 years.

In 2010 Barbera made his move to the MotoGP class and rode up until the end of 2017 with the Avintia team before then stepping back into Moto2.

Find out how Hector will get on when he and his fellow Supersport riders hit the track in September, here at NowMoto.
