The bad luck continues for Dan Linfoot and Honda Racing after the Yorkshire rider crashed during the first race at Brands Hatch.
Brands Hatch hasn’t been kind to Dan Linfoot in 2018 sustaining 2 serious injuries at the Longfield circuit.
Earlier this season, at the Indy circuit, the Honda rider came off his CBR1000RR on the entry to Graham Hill bend at the bottom of the hill. Dan was ruled out of that weekend and also the next round at Oulton Park after sustaining serious neck injuries.
This weekend, Dan was looking to make amends at Brands, getting his season back on track. Linfoot was running in 15th position before he dropped his Honda Fireblade on lap 6 at Westfield Bend.
Dan will miss the next 2 rounds of the Bennets British Superbike Championship at Thruxton and then the teams home round at Cadwell Park on the bank holiday weekend in August.
This also rules out Linfoot of the Suzuka 24 hours as he was set to take part in the iconic race with the Moriwaki Honda team.
There is no announcement as of yet on who will be taking Dan’s ride for the next 2 rounds, however, we could see King Kiyo back on the CBR1000RR once again this season.
NowMoto would like to join Dan’s team, family, and fans on wishing him a speedy recovery!
