Tommy Bridewell will make his return to British Superbikes this weekend at Brands Hatch on the Moto Rapido Ducati that Taylor Mackenzie vacated a few weeks ago.
Tommy Bridewell will make his return to Bennets British Superbikes this weekend at Brands Hatch, as he will replace Taylor Mackenzie who announced he was splitting with Steve Moore’s Ducati team ahead of qualifying at Knockhill.
Tommy Bridewell will step onto a Ducati, a bike that he has not yet ridden in the championship, for the first time on Friday, as he and the team will dial themselves into this new partnership.
Bridewell started 2018 on a Suzuki GSXR-1000 but had his contract terminated ahead of qualifying at Snetterton earlier this year.
Tommy Bridewell made his British Superbike debut back in 2010 on the Quay Garage Racing Honda and has since ridden for more established teams such as Tyco BMW and the WD-40 Kawasaki in 2017.
Bridewell’s best championship result came in 2014 as he finished the season in a very impressive 3rd place behind Shane Bryne and Ryuichi Kiyonari.
Tommy’s debut win came in 2014 at Cadwell Park on the Milwaukee Yamaha and then backed that up with a win at Oulton Park the year after on the BMW.
We wish Tommy all the best on his return to the Bennets British Superbike Championship.
