The IMR Superstock 1000 rider gets a chance in British Superbikes as he replaces Tommy Bridewell for the Scottish round.
Moments before the qualifying session began at Snetterton 2 weeks ago Martin Halsall announced that his Halsall racing team and Tommy Bridewell will be parting ways.
With much uncertainty over the teams future, it has been announced that current IMR BMW rider Chrissy Rouse will step up to the big class to replace the Wiltshire rider.
Chrissy Rouse has had a strong season in the National Superstock championship so far with his best finish being a second place in the 2nd race at Brands Hatch earlier on this year.
